Since the 1st of January 2016, all consumers have the right to turn to a mediator (free of charge for the consumer) in aim to solve a conflict with a trader thanks to an amicable process. Since the order No. 2015-1033 of the 20th of August 2015 concerning alternative consumer dispute resolution, completed by Decree No. 2015-1382 of the 30th of October 2015 on mediation consumer disputes, “every consumer has the right to turn to a mediator specialized in consumer disputes for free to help solve a conflict with traders. The professional guarantees the consumer an effective access to a consumer mediation device“.

In view of this new regulation which transposes the European Directive of the 21st of May 2013 concerning extrajudicial consumer conflicts, the CMAP provides mediation services to all companies seeking to sustain its relationships with all their partners and especially with its consumers. The CMAP is competent to settle consumer conflicts in all activity fields. Indeed, for the last 20 years, the CMAP’s aim has been to be at all firms’ service.
